50th ANNUAL

                                     4th                   Of  July

Jamboree

1957 - 2006

***Our biggest annual event is our 4th of July Jamboree.  This year marks the 50th anniversary of this old-fashioned, fun-filled family day.  Come and enjoy our chicken barbecue, play games on the common, visit food booths, enter the silent auction, join in a patriotic sing-a-long, listen to music from the bandstand, browse through the attic treasures, go on a hay ride, visit with Bella the Clown, and watch the parade!  The most popular event is the Firemen's Water Polo competition.  Don't miss it!!***

A newer, very popular event is our annual Auction.  Held the third Saturday in September, the auction offers something for everyone - from antiques and household items to gift certificates, baked goods, and catered dinners.  $5.00 buys you a grinder with chips and a drink, and your bidding number.

Our Halloween Party is always a hit with the younger crowd.  The Junior Youth Group kids decorate and participate in the very popular "Haunted Hall".  There are games, crafts, and snacks.  A great time for family fun.

The Holly 'n' Harvest Fair is a great way to kick off the holiday season.  Held on the first Saturday in November. Crafts, candy, cookies, baked goods, relishes, jams & jellies, jewelry, plants, "New and Like New Gifts", and a silent auction provide an abundance of choices for your holiday gift giving.  While you're there, you can enjoy a luncheon or simply coffee and a muffin.

The Christmas season is, of course, a special time in the church.  In addition to our regular Advent and Christmas Eve services, we hold two very special services.  The first is a Festival Service of Lessons and Carols. This service provides a time of reflection as the scripture readings from the Christmas story are read, carols are sung, and anthems presented.

The second is our annual Christmas Pageant, put on by the Sunday School and RSCM (Royal School of Church Music) Choir.  The pageant is an enjoyable reenactment of the story of the birth of Christ.  Following the pageant is a pot luck supper.

Other activities will be scheduled throughout the year.  Please watch our website for future events!
